Elan Fine Art is pleased to present an exhibition of works by the esteemed international photographer James O’Mara. "Encounters" features black and white photography that spans his career over the past 50 years.

James O’Mara began his creative work as a painter with classical training. Utilizing his fine art skills, he developed a career in the documentary, editorial and commercial fields with a diverse spectrum of high profile North American and European clients in fashion, portraiture, music and travel.

His editorial photography has been featured in Rolling Stone, Vogue, the New York Times, GQ, Vanity Fair, and Mojo, to name a few. His filmmaking, photography and graphic design work is frequently recognized with awards including the New York Art Director’s, The U.S. Television Awards, the Columbus Film Festival, Communication Arts, Applied Arts and Graphis.

As a photographic artist, he has shown at galleries in Paris, Vancouver, London, Beijing, Shanghai and Siena, Italy.
