Kathryn Mussallem | The Canadian Forces Artists Program – Group 7

Founded in 2001, Canadian Forces Artists Program showcases the work of civilian artists who depict the daily operations of soldiers, sailors and air force personnel.
Emily Carr University of Art + Design Continuing Studies instructor and alumna, Kathryn Mussallem (2008), is one of the eight artists being featured in a group exhibit, Canadian Forces Artists Program - Group 7 at the Canadian War Museum in Ottawa.
The Canadian Forces Artists Programs is immersive. The program accepts applications from artists across the country. Successful applicants are chosen, and then the artists deploy with the military to gain the perspective necessary for the works they will create. The art in this exhibit is created out of the experiences the artists have while deployed. Canadian Forces Artists Program - Group 7 showcases work in a variety of mediums, including photography, sculpture, sketches, video, oil paintings, and mixed media works.
Canadian Forces Artists Program - Group 7 will be on display at the Canadian War Museum until April 2.
