Material Matters 3DP Forum: Problem Solving
Please join us for our next Material Matters meetup, Thursday, December 1!
The theme for this meetup is "Problem Solving"! We have a great group of speakers lined up for you who will introduce their work and projects and share some stories that relate to this theme.
Sid Sandback (Sandback Technical Design Inc.)
Sid is the owner of Sandback Technical Design and has over 29 years of Design and Construction experience. For the past 18 years, he has been self‐employed and operating his design and project management service primarily for the forest industry. Material handling and Mechanical Design are some of the many strong points in his tool box. Sid also has three multi‐million dollar Thermal Oil Energy Systems where he has had an onsite construction supervisory and project management role. Sid will be presenting on how to create a multi-axis solar tracker using an Arduino and 3D printed parts.

Matej Rodela (Tok Tok Furniture)
Matej Rodela is a media studies graduate from Slovenia who has spent a reasonable number of years working in the media. Tired of the old school mentality of his bosses, he dived into the world of design thinking and business. This led him to co-found a startup focused on designing and manufacturing wooden products that make sense. He has also successfully led a Kickstarter campaign and has since helped others in getting their fingers dirty in the crowd-funding world. Always in search of a new challenge, he moved to Vancouver with his Canadian wife.
