New Works welcomes you to a public showing of this year’s XR Program on March 30th, 2023.
XR Artists danielle Mackenzie Long, James Albers, Sarah U and Simran Sachar will share their artistic research and works-in-progress with the community.
The New Works XR program 2022-23 artists have been working with AR, motion capture, Blender and volumetric video over the course of eight weeks with mentors Ian Garrett, Freya Olafson, Nancy Lee, Ian Lavery and Casey Koyczan as well as support from the Basically Good Media Lab at Emily Carr University of Art + Design, the New Media Gallery, and Boca del Lupo. A special thanks to Sammy Chien and Caroline MacCaull of Chimerik collective as well as Emmalena Fredriksson.
