COMD 305 presents the last film of our Print on Film series: In the Mood for Love directed by Wong Kar-wai, starring Maggie Cheung and Tony Leung Chiu-wai. Similar to the other films in our Print on Film series — Fantastic Mr. Fox and The ShiningIn the Mood for Love reflects the relationship between digital and print media. To explore this dialogue, COMD 305 students have created a risograph printed zine that will be available to attendees at the event.

Released in 2000, In the Mood for Love is one of cinema’s most poetic depictions of restraint and longing. Loosely based on Liu Yichang’s novella Intersection, the film reimagines written text through visual rhythm, repetition, and silence — transforming literature into image and emotion. We hope you can attend and enjoy the final show of our Print on Film event!
