Library Team | library@ecuad.caEmily Carr University of Art + Design (ECU) Library + Archives is working to make it easier to find books in our collection that are on indigenous topics and by Indigenous creators. This project is happening in several steps, including replacing harmful subject labels, and improving information about each book, like adding full contents notes and summaries, more relevant subject labels, and listing additional authors.
In this “Slice of Learning” session members of the ECU Library + Archives Decolonization and Indigenization Committee will introduce the project and show attendees the process they follow as they work to improve and update catalogue records. Participants will have the opportunity to participate in the work and learn the basics of library cataloguing.
