Please join us for the first Twilight Hour talk of the spring 2020 series on Tuesday, January 21 at 6pm, with Toronto-based artist Erica Stocking.
Erica Stocking is an artist working across sculpture, installation and performance. She received her BFA from the Emily Carr Institute in 2004 and is currently pursuing her MFA at OCAD University in Toronto. Her work has been exhibited in a number of Canadian institutions and artist-run centres including The Vancouver Art Gallery, Contemporary Art Gallery Vancouver, Mercer Union, and The Western Front. She has completed four permanent public artworks and, in 2009, was honoured by the City of Vancouver as the Emerging Artist in Public Art.
Forthcoming projects include the launch of a clothing line produced as part of her project "The Artist’s Studio Is Her Bedroom: A choreographed statement of autobiographical art making" which will be exhibited in The Artist’s Studio is Her Bedroom at the Contemporary Art Gallery, Vancouver in January 2020.
All talks take place in Painting + Drawing Room D4384, on the 4th floor of the building. Seating is limited; first come, first seated! Free and open to the public.
