Partnership explores new ways of creating public spaces.

Community partnerships create innovative collaborations and projects.

Emily Carr recently partnered with Ampri Group, the City of Richmond and Stantec to develop new ways of creating public spaces.

This innovative partnership resulted in a new course, The Social Practice of Public Art + Community Design, aimed at helping emerging artists transition from studio work to the field of public art, while providing them with the skills to interact with stakeholders from business, community and government. With thanks to Khare Communications, the course has been fully documented, establishing a benchmark for public art/collaborative education that can be widely shared. Watch the trailer and stay tuned for announcements this Fall about screenings.
