This Mount Pleasant community event features our Industrial Design student projects about food waste.

Students in the ecoTANK third year Industrial Design Core Studio have been looking at how to facilitate re-using common household food waste through design.

The students will be showcasing their projects at Neighbour Savour, a sustainable community event that takes place on the evening of Wednesday, October 19. There, they will have a chance to speak with the public about their research and promote a ‘second life’ for everything from egg shells to pomelo peels.

About Neighbour Savour:

The 7th Annual zero waste, city-wide biggest potluck ever is October 19th, 6pm at Heritage Hall (3102 Main St @ 15th Avenue). We’ve got live local music, activities for kids, community tables, Emily Carr Industrial Design projects, the ElderGreens seniors project, seed swapping and neighbours with delicious local food.

Bring a dish a be part of the biggest potluck in Vancouver!
