Join alumnus and sessional faculty member Michael Love for the launch of his new public artwork 'Excavations' on the CBC wall, Thursday, October 19 at 12pm.

Join alumnus and sessional faculty member Michael Love for the launch of his new public artwork 'Excavations' on the CBC wall Thursday, October 19 at 12pm.

Michael will be giving a brief talk about the piece and his approach to working with the CBC and the City of Vancouver's archives.

The WALL, located at the CBC Vancouver Broadcast Centre Plaza, is a Vancouver Heritage Foundation public art initiative. It is made possible by a unique partnership between Vancouver Heritage Foundation and CBC Radio-Canada, with support from JJ Bean Coffee Roasters, and is produced in partnership with the City of Vancouver Public Art Program. The WALL features a new artist every year.

Attendance is free but please RSVP to Jessica to be added to the guestlist.

About Michael Love

Michael Love was born in Chilliwack, British Columbia. He attended both the University of the Fraser Valley and the Emily Carr Institute (now University) to complete his BFA. Love completed his MFA in photography at Concordia University in 2009, where he was the 2007 recipient of the Roloff Beny travel fellowship. Love also received the Canada Council for the Arts research and creation grant in 2010. His work has been published in Next Level, Prefix Photo and Blackflash magazine. Love has exhibited his work both nationally and internationally. He is the newest member of the Everything Co. artist collective and also helped start and curate Gallery 295.
