The library has a new method for accessing online Library resources: OpenAthens. This will be replacing the system we were using, EZProxy.

You will still need only your Emily Carr username and password to access our online Library resources.

You will need to log in to access online resources regardless of whether they are on or off campus. You will be prompted to enter your Emily Carr username and password (same as you currently use to access online Library resources and ECU email). Once you’ve logged in, your OpenAthens session will be active for 8 hours, as long as you’re using the same browser and device, and don’t clear your browser cache and cookies.

More detailed information about the positive changes that come with our switch to OpenAthens will be forthcoming. If you have any articles or databases bookmarked you may have to update the URLs.
