Have you applied for your Spring semester student loan yet?

Just a reminder that if you are a student needing a student loan for the Spring semester, it is time to apply so you ensure your loan is processed in time for the start of classes.  You do not have to be registered before you apply, however you will have to be fully registered in December before we can approve the funds to be released.

If you have further questions, please email the Financial Aid + Awards office at finawards@ecuad.ca, book an appointment online at www.mywco.com/advising or just stop by Student Services.

Deadline to Withdraw from Classes is November 1st!

Just a reminder that the last day to withdraw from courses without academic penalty is Thursday, November 1st.  Withdrawal forms are available in the Forms section of your myEC account or from Student Services.  Completed forms must be submitted to Student Services before 4:15pm on Thursday, November 1st.  Please note that withdrawals cannot be done online.

This is just a reminder that it is very important for you to keep your student record information up to date just in case we need to contact you in an emergency or snail mail you information.

Please take a moment to check the information we have on file for you under My Account on myEC.  You can make changes there which will be uploaded to our system.

Student Commons Closure on Tuesday, September 25th

Due to a departmental meeting, the Student Commons will be closed tomorrow from 9:00am to 10:00am on Tuesday, September 25th.  We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

TUITION DEADLINE IS FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 21st

Just a reminder that the deadline to pay tuition fees is Friday, September 21st.  Students that pay late will be subject to late penalty fees and deregistration in courses.

Keep in mind that online banking payments may take a couple of days to process so in order to ensure your payment arrives on time, arrange your online payment BEFORE the deadline.

DEADLINE TO ADD AND DROP IS TODAY!!

Friday, September 14th (TODAY) is the last day to add and drop classes.  If you do not remove yourself from classes you do not intend to take, you will be financially responsible for the tuition as you held a seat in the class and prevented another student from registering.

Please check your class schedule on myEC and make sure you have attended and intend to take all of the courses you are registered for.

ADD AND DROP PERIOD REMINDER

This is a reminder that the period to add and drop classes is only one week long.  You will only be permitted to add and drop classes until 11:59pm on Friday, September 14th.

If you are on a waitlist, please keep a close watch on your EC email so that you will be able to add the course prior to the Friday evening deadline!

Are you a new student looking to pick up your ID card?

If you are a new student and have already uploaded your ID card photo, you may pick up your student ID card in the Student Commons at following times:

Tuesday, September 4 - 2:00pm to 4:00pm

Wednesday, September 5 - 2:00pm to 4:00pm

Thursday, September 6 - 11:30am - 1:00pm

Friday, September 7 - 8:30am to 4:00pm

On a waitlist?? Watch your email closely!!

This is a reminder that myEC is back up and running and the window to accept a space in a class you have been waitlisted for is now just 1 day.   You will want to monitor your Emily Carr email daily to ensure that you are kept up to date on your waitlisted classes.  If you do not accept the space in the class that you waitlisted for within 1 day, the offer will expire and you will be dropped from the waitlist.

Check your email daily!!

Don't forget to apply early for your student loan!

Just a reminder that if you will be applying for a student loan for the upcoming semester, you will want to apply now.  Loans can take up to six weeks to process, so in order for the funds to be available by the time tuition fees are due, you will want to ensure you submit your application right away.
