The award was established to provide encouragement and remove financial barriers for Emily Carr students living with a significant and chronic mental health condition/disorder.

Applications are now open for the Stephen A. Corcoran Memorial Award, closing at March 14, 2022 at 5pm.

The Stephen A. Corcoran Memorial Award was created and funded by Stephen’s family and friends to honour his creative and artistic legacy. This award is aimed to provide encouragement and remove financial barriers for Emily Carr students living with a significant and chronic mental health condition/disorder. This annual award has a value of $1,000.


To apply for this award:

  • Download the Application Form and Medical Eligibility Form by clicking on the buttons, below.
  • Complete both forms and return them along with any other supporting documents/materials in a sealed envelope marked "Stephen A. Corcoran Award" and "Confidential" to Eva Bouchard, Manager, Major Gifts + Fund Development in the Advancement Office (Room D2430) at ECU.
  • Be sure to submit your completed application by March 14, 2022 at 5pm.
