As of January 15, international students must be fully vaccinated with an approved vaccine in order to enter Canada.

The Government of Canada recently announced changes to border measures that will affect international students.

Effective November 30, 2021, Canada will expand the list of COVID-19 vaccines that travellers can receive to be considered fully vaccinated for the purpose of travel to Canada. The list will include Sinopharm, Sinovac and COVAXIN, matching the World Health Organization Emergency Use Listing.

Effective January 15, 2022, international students who are age 18 and older will only be allowed to enter Canada if they are fully vaccinated with an approved vaccine.

See the full announcement from the Government of Canada for more details.
