Drop in to the Emily Carr University campus and try your hand at the ancient art of letterpress. Assemble an answer to one of three artistic prompts using handset wood type and a Showcard proof press. Explore colour, typography, composition and transfer techniques as you engage in a dialogue about visual art and its role in our lives. Materials will be available to supplement letterpress work with drawings and other visual elements. Join Continuing Studies at Emily Carr University for this collaborative activity open to all levels of art experience. This event is part of Culture Days/Alumni Homecoming 2016.
