We recognized that the previous system needed updates and a faster turnaround time when receiving feedback. That’s why Blue fits the bill and lets students share their course evaluation feedback in a timely way. It will also make generating reports much simpler, which means you will get your feedback from students faster!
The course evaluation period for the Fall term will open today, Monday, November 27, to Monday, December 18, 2023.
While the survey questions remain the same for now, the system that students will use to complete them is much more user-friendly and intuitive. Blue offers a dashboard that will allow you to track participation in your course evaluations so you can send class reminders if you see that your response rates are low in a particular course.
If you use Moodle for your course, there are a few steps you need to take to ensure students can access their evaluations through Moodle. We’ve laid out a short guide on how to set that up on the Blue webpage.
Your students will receive an email invitation and two follow-up reminders directly from the Blue platform to complete their evaluations. They will also be able to find links to evaluations on both Moodle and myEC.
You can also encourage students to participate in course evaluations by:
- Letting them know how you'll use their feedback
- Providing class time to complete their evaluations (you will need to leave the room while they fill them out)
