As we safely resume more on-campus activities, we have created new resources to support students, staff and faculty in planning events on campus.

By order of the Provincial Health Officer (PHO), proof of vaccination is required for all indoor, non-educational events with more than 50 attendees. For the safety and comfort of our community, we will require proof of vaccination for all non-educational events of any size.

This includes any event or activity that is not related to curriculum, such as our Student Art Sale, Convocation, or The Show. The requirement will extend to programming and activities that are open to the public, such as campus tours, exhibitions, or film screenings.

Students, staff and faculty wishing to attend these events must also show proof of vaccination, just as a member of the public does. Masks continue to be required in all indoor settings and during events.

You will not be required to present proof of vaccination during the normal course of employment or study at ECU. For instance, while accessing classrooms, lectures, studio and shop environments, or the library.

If you are planning an event on campus, please refer to our COVID-19 Proof of Vaccination Manual for information. You may also visit the Scheduling Office webpage for details about room bookings and required risk assessments.
