Unleash your creativity with two new Summer courses for Teens!
July 20-23, 2020 | Mon - Thur | 9am – 12pm
$254 | 4 sessions
Explore this exciting medium through versatile DIY techniques! Learn monotype printing, trace prints, paper alterations, rubbings, and alternative relief techniques. Approaches will range from printing found objects, to direct transfer prints, and even incorporating drawing or photography into your prints. By the end of the course, you will have developed unique prints for your portfolio! Students can expect to spend $55-$65 in supplies.

This hands-on workshop will introduce you to the art of woven tapestry. You will learn fundamental weaving techniques, from selecting the materials to building a frame loom, and creating woven designs. You will explore various techniques of plain weave, slit tapestry, hatching, shape-building, and knotting, as well as finishing techniques. By the end of the course, you will have created a unique art piece and developed an awareness of the creative potential of tapestry and textile arts. Students can expect to spend $50-$60 in supplies.
