Emily Carr Student Filmmakers at VSFF - UPDATE!

June 4, 2008 - This just in...Emily Carr students took home three awards at the Festival:

Best Film: For You, My People, Jose Pablo Gonzalez

Best Post-Production: 8, Jeff Simpson

Knowledge Network BC Perspectives Award: Beauty Lies, Karen Chapman

Karen Chapman (first year student), Kyla Plewes (second year student), Sarah Hudson (second year student), Denise Quesnel, Jeff Simpson, Heui Won Jeong, Justin Murphy, Andrew Ford, Jose Pablo Gonzalez and Bartosz Nowakowski (all fourth year students) have had films selected for the Vancouver Student Film Festival (VSFF) 2008's final screening which showcases the top BC post-secondary students and alumni on May 24th at Vancity Theatre.

A panel of eight industry professionals will judge the films to determine festival awards, worth over $10,000 in cash and prizes.
