Liz Magor - Recipient of the 2008 Mayor’s Arts Award

Vancouver Mayor Sam Sullivan and City Council have announced that ECI Associate Professor, Liz Magor, has been named as one of the honourees for the annual Mayor’s Arts Awards to be held June 23, 2008 at the Vancouver Playhouse.

Each year, a jury of peers convened by the Alliance of Arts and Culture nominates Vancouver artists or community members who have made significant contributions to the creative life of our city. Liz will be honoured in the Studio Arts (Visual Arts) category.

Liz Magor, a Vancouver-based Canadian artist who works in and teaches sculpture, photography and installation, has been an Associate Professor at Emily Carr since 1999.
