EK MODERNISM - Writer's Reception and Book Launch

The Intersections Digital Studio (IDS) is pleased to host the writers reception
and launch of Sylvia Grace Borda's most recent public art project and book -
'EK Modernism'.

Friday, May 4th , 7-10pm
Intersections Digital Studios, main floor

'EK MODERNISM' represents a contemporary architectural record of East
Kilbride, Scotland's 'First New Town'. It's also a chronicle about a
Modernist utopian vision of livability, sustainability and community
coherence.

To discuss the work, Sylvia Grace Borda (artist/author of EK
Modernism) will be in attendance, as well as invited guest and
visiting New Town Public Artist & Project Co-ordinator, Keith Donnelly
(East Kilbride, Scotland), who will be available to answer questions.

As another special addition to the evening, the Curator of Surrey Art
Gallery, Liane Davison, will announce a partnership with East Kilbride
Arts Centre, Scotland to develop a media exhibition in order to
address the socio-geographic identity of Whalley (Surrey, BC) through
a cultural exchange with students residing in East Kilbride.

Canada-Scotland partnership and public art project!
