Pearls of Wisdom

Pearls of Wisdom is a monograph about clichés. It follows an article titled “Let us Now Praise the Cliché” written by James parker. It also includes definitions and example of use for cliché subjects and terms that relate to clichés. The book, while humoristic focuses on embracing the cliché.

My main goal was to mix a “cliché” aesthetic, through imagery, style, colour, and type. At the same time I wanted to balance the clichéness by adding simple clean layouts and clear typography.
