Body Imaged. (Fall 2011 Grad Project)

video

description

By educating the public and creating awareness about body image (which is defined as our perception, attitude, and behaviour towards our bodies) - my aim was to help re-direct our focus fixated on a perfect ‘body image’ to accepting our bodies as they are.

After narrowing down which ideas were most relevant and exciting - I decided to focus on an interactive piece that would act as an awareness campaign. Enabling the viewer to interact with their own ‘body image’ in a way that would resonate with them as being a more personal experience, hopefully putting things into perspective. The reasoning behind this decision was to change and question the way in which we interact with our own images by creating awareness about the psychological and physical ‘shape’ that we're in as a society.

The following images are a demonstration of the interaction between the user and the screen. These images roughly outline the storyline of the concept video, allowing for an example of the screen being used, as the video I created does not include the user. For the concept video I left out the ‘user’ - allowing the viewer to visualize the interaction. The video was created on both Autodesk Soft-image and After Effects.
