This installation was a proposal for the Rotterdam Architecture Biennale in 2013. To bring awareness and provide a gathering space that enhances the relationship between humans and the House Sparrow. 

The House Sparrow, Huis mus, in dutch is at great risk in the Netherlands due to the depletion of natural habitat and nesting placements. For many years the house sparrow has been considered a pest living within the eves of the home and causing damage to the house. 

Huismus Thuis curates space where the human must care for the birds encouraging breaking stigmas of them being a pest and return a vision of their naturally human friendly state and build empathy around the fragility of their lives.
