trilume

description

trilume is a thin, flat-packed, wood centerpiece that houses a tea-light candle. Made with aircraft plywood from Finland, the form consists of three repeated ‘leaves’ that join together in the center and bend into shape. The light from the candle flickers and glows through the thin wood creating beautiful ambient lighting for intimate spaces such as restaurant tables.
Created for the Pan Pacific Hotel in downtown Vancouver and the Wood Coop on Granville Island as a gift that could be sent in the mail and assembled upon arrival.
