Moustache Factory

With Coral Short's blessing I adapted her Moustache Factory performance for the May 2010 Fuse at the Vancouver Art Gallery. The theme of the night was "Girls! Girls! Girls".

Six queers performing high femme drag offered stick on moustaches to gallery goers; vinyl moustaches adorned bathroom mirrors, and the Moustache Factory itself got crazy with people making their own moustaches, armpit hair, unibrows, beards, fake fur pasties, and other assorted fake hair accessories. It was a fun and accessible way to play with gender and queerness, with a mostly straight audience.
