2DAN 303: Character Animation I

This course focuses on animation principles of character movement: body mechanics, locomotion, gestures, facial animation, timing, acting, dialogue and staging. Students will develop their skills through a series of exercises that progress from functional movement towards integrating function with personality and expression. At the end of the course, students will have a portfolio of pieces ranging from walk cycles to complex dialogue scenes. This course is the first in a series of two character animation courses.

This course is subject to priority rules; see here.
