3DAN 217 S032: Adv Character Model & Texture

This course covers techniques for pre-production of student grad film projects including advanced modeling and texturing for characters and environments. The course is appropriate for students who wish to refine their modeling and texturing skills. Topics include organic and hard surface modeling, greeble detailing, rector sets, plant generation, colour palettes, map types and other current texture mapping practices. Student projects include a character, a hard surface model and an environment. Software used in this course encompasses the full scope of a 3D computer animation production pipeline, from 3D modeling and texturing, to normal mapping, digital painting, photorealistic lighting and rendering and advanced compositing.

Prerequisites: 

3DAN-200 3D Computer Animation II or ANIM-225 3D Character Animation
