ANIM 230: 3D Character Creation

This course covers the creation of 3D computer graphic characters for animation, from character development and concept art to final model with textures, hair, clothing and facial details. Students will explore prototyping strategies that integrate design with the animation process. The course emphasizes modeling principles and techniques for producing an optimal geometry flow that supports advanced sculpting and texture painting, and prepares the model for rigging and animation.
