CEDR 172: Contemporary Drawing

This course is designed to explore drawing
medium in relationship to different
disciplines: fine arts, design, and architecture.
Drawing is the essence of visual
expression, capable of communicating
different aesthetics and at the same time,
connecting diverse art practices. This
course offers a new perspective on a
multidisciplinary approach to drawing as
one of the most dynamic media of our time.
Students are introduced to drawing as a
means of visual investigation by developing
creative perception and observation skills.
As students strengthen capacity to handle
the medium, they are guided to cross
boundaries between art disciplines and
investigate personal creative affinities.
