CRAM 307: Ceramics:Computer Technology

Computer technologies and digital applications are now being used for an ever expanding role in contemporary ceramic practice. This course will explore computer application within the making of virtual 3D forms and 2D surfaces appropriate for possible transfer into ceramic materials. Formal, aesthetic and technical issues and concepts specific to ceramics and developed using such technologies will be investigated. Students are expected to develop self-directed projects. Studio work, demonstrations, researches and presentations, and discussions and critiques form an integral part of this course.
