FNDT 106: Drawing + 2-D Language I

This course introduces students to the methods, materials, and concepts of drawing, both as a visual language and as a tool for enhancing perceptual awareness. While investigating process and developing a critical vocabulary, students will begin to acquire the skills to translate immediate observation and ideas into two-dimensional form. In-class projects and assignments will encompass various aspects of drawing, while visual presentations and class discussion will introduce students to contemporary and historical ideas of art and design.
