INDD 230 F001F: Ceramic Design

This course offers a comprehensive introduction to a range of methods and processes essential to ceramic design. Through hands-on experience with materials, students gain both practical and critical insights, positioning ceramics within the current landscape of art and design practices. Assigned projects are designed to enhance the development of technical skills and cultural inquiry, and may encompass discussions, demonstrations, presentations, and critiques. The course explores fundamentals of ceramic practices while examining concepts related to its function, production, and a consideration of its social and cultural context.
