INTD 218 S032: 3D Modelling Mixed Realities

This course is an introductory-level class that will cover emerging topics and tools in 3D modeling for virtual reality, mixed reality and augmented reality. Subjects covered will include best-practices workflow for image capture, photogrammetry, classic modeling, and procedural rule-based modeling. Students will learn how to edit material properties, sound and lighting using current best tools for rendered output in VR and AR environments with deference to open source software. Projects will be developed with critical consideration for the ongoing role of designing for emerging technologies in ethical and socially sustainable ways.
