NMSA 209: CONNECT: Web Essentials

This introductory course is intended for students with no prior exposure to web programming. The course is for artists who want to create, compose, and construct web-based projects, or portfolios of their work for dissemination on the web. Students learn the principles and processes of creative web projects through introductory XHTML and CSS techniques to their projects. The course covers concepts of narrative, metaphor, navigation, usability, and spatiality. Students learn to produce a website that contains various media, such as text, images, video, animation, sound, and interactive elements.
