PHOT 201 SU01: Photography Essentials

This course introduces the basics of photography as an art form. Students will learn to operate both digital and analogue cameras, process film, and make and present prints. They will also learn to critique their own work and others' work as well as beginning to establish personal directions within the medium. Technical and conceptual assignments, darkroom and studio workshops, group critiques, and lectures/Audio Visual presentations introduce a range of approaches and processes, including analogue and digital applications. Cannot take if have taken FNDT 146.

Completion of 21 credits
