PNTG 313: Mapping the Terrain

Examines strategies employed to address the subject of landscape. Through projects students develop critical and technical painting skills. By producing a number of studies and paintings students learn to apply acrylic and oil painting techniques. Through this process students develop their abilities to observe and describe their environment. The genre is examined from both historical and contemporary perspectives.
