Through discussions, presentations and research, this course will lead you through industry shaping events, lawsuits, people, and technologies to discover their impact on the games in each era. By the end of this course, you will trace the evolution and locate the current context of the game industry, understand different constraints that can both hinder progress and generate space for new ideas, and identify key people whose designs pushed and continue to shape the industry.
