CUXD 106 SU01: Building Responsive Design
Responsive and mobile-first design prioritizes design and development to a user's behavior and environment, considering device, screen size, platform and orientation. Creating a responsive site capable of adapting to differing screen sizes and varying device resolutions, students will consider design capabilities of a website using responsive grid layouts, flexible images and media queries. Content includes the technical issues when developing a site, writing code that works on multiple browsers and devices, and principles of responsive web design toward the creation of a fully functional site.

I have taught web design in Vancouver since 1999—which is pretty much as long as anyone’s been doing it.
I’ve been at ECUAD for about five years now. I also teach in Langara’s Publishing program and the new Web and Mobile App Design and Development program there. Previous classes were in the Photography and Electronic Media Design programs, among others.
Further evidence of workaholism: I am also a long-time employee of Langara’s IT department.
Like more than a few web designers, I have a couple degrees in English literature. I love guitars, Afrobeat, movies, squash, and my bike.
