Born in Vancouver, I live and work in Barcelona, where I'm a critic, curator and educator. In BCN I teach design theory at EINA, as well as curate, write and do policy and publishing work. At ECUAD I teach in design theory and special topics. One research area is art and radical politics; another is critical and activist design. I've written internationally for art journals and contribute book and catalogue essays. In Institutions by Artists (2012) I discuss Barcelona art activism and urban critique; an article on anarchist cultural collectives is in a Sitesize book (2014) . I've also written on and curated critical designers like Martí Guixé and Curro Claret. Other shows have featured Jessica Stockholder, Lebbeus Woods and Susana Solano; an exhibit on email scams toured Spain; I did a major group show, A Dilema, at ASM in Barcelona in 2013-14. In 2018 I curated "Vicinities" in Spain, with David MacWilliam and Marià Dinarès.
