PRNT 320: Textile, Surface + Pattern
This course will introduce students to hands-on methods of surface design and textile printing focusing on repeated pattern. Projects may encompass various design processes such as drawing, photography, stencil and block printing, shibori (Japanese tie-dye using indigo) and digital applications on fabric and other surfaces. Students will also learn practical aspects of production and marketing their textile designs.
Must be taken in conjunction with Visual Arts Seminar 311 /Pattern: Textile and Beyond
Prerequisites:
6 credits of 200 level Print + Completion of second year
