    The Paper Lab was created for Sustainability Design Core studio.  In response to the mass of plastic toys being created, played with and thrown away.  Our team created a line of "Lego" style paper blocks that could be combined to create one of a kind childrens toys.  We worked closely with and tested our products with young students from Faslse Creek Elementary.

    The WaterBot is a product of a social sciences course that dealt with global water security issues.  For my final project I focussed on the disaster that was Hurricane Katrina.  The result of which was a concept for a water purifying robot, that could access remote areas in urban disaster zones and provide survivors with clean water.

    The mini glider was a collaborative project undertaken in my body mobility core studio.  It was a conceptual model for a personal glider that could be used for personal recreation, or sport.  It included and tested mechanisms that would allow it to fold down into the area of a full campers pack, allowing it to be highly transportable.

    The Robo Marker was made for my creative electronics class.  The assignment was to make a mark of any kind using electronic means.  In response i created a three foot long wearble robot arm, that gripped a pen, and with the flip of a switch, turned at the wrist and drew curved lines.

    Primarily made from high density foam, and large popcicle sticks, it housed two high torque motors, and functioned well for about six minutes.

    As part of a community projects course, our class was given the opportunity to connect with the residents of the Dr. Peter Center in downtown Vancouver.  Our goal was to work closely with the center to generate artwork, which may be extremely sensitive in nature, and do so in an extremely ethical manner.
