Thomas manages Nexii's BIM Technology department. They generates parametric architectural designs using Catia and Modo supporting all manufacturing plants.
He is a Lecturer at Emily Carr University, teaching 3D modeling and rendering (CAD) using Solidworks, Modo, Rhino and Grasshopper. He instructs and consults Kinetic Architecture graduate courses for the University of Oregon in partnership with Turner Exhibits (Tom Kundig)
As a design consultant in 3D, his clients include Exhibau (TED/OceanX), Wiivv Wearables, Nuytco Research, Armanat Architect, Ruf Project Architects, Vin de Garde Cellar, Robert McNeel & Associates and Electronic Arts.
Thomas has taught Maya at the Masters of Digital Media and Rhino3D for the Jewelry Department of VCC.
He worked for Rainmaker Entertainment as a pipeline instructor during the production of the feature animated film Escape from Planet Earth.
Thomas was a technical director for Mainframe Entertainment throughout their pipeline switch from Softimage to XSI during the production of Scary Godmother as well as in house bidding test for Shrek 2.
He consulted and trained the team at Troublemaker Studios during their pipeline switch into Spy Kids 3 from Maya to XSI to streamline their data flow with Hybrid. He supervised similar pipeline switch at Omation during the production of the film Barnyard.
Traveling throughout North America while working at Softimage Co, the company that developed the software used to create the visual effects of movies such as Jurassic Park, City of the Lost Children as well as Bjork’s music videos. Thomas served as Field Specialist for them working with The Embassy VFX, Image Engine, Bioware, Turner Studios, Giant Studios, The Mill, Phantagram Games and Gajdecki VFX.
He was CG Supervisor during "The Bear" a 3D stereoscopic film produced in Paris, France for a museum.
