George Papazian
Bio
With over 17 years of industry experience, George Papazian is an established front end web programmer, and a seasoned college and university instructor. George has been one of the pioneers of Emily Carr Unversity's Interaction Design Essentials program since its inception, authoring and delivering many of its programming courses, as well as coordinating and instructionally leading the program itself. In addition to ISMA at ECU, he has taught interactive media at BCIT, and teaches web technologies through distance education at Make A Change Canada and Selkirk College.
As a developer, George is the Creative Lead of opto.media, a Vancouver based educational interface consulting firm. Related projects include The Westin Grand, The National Center for Shaken Baby Syndrome, Simon Fraser University, Vancouver Whitecaps FC, The Art Institutes™ as well as other projects and organizations.
George focuses on using open source software solutions, particularly as they apply to learning interface design.
