    A piece of editorial design created for a contest that is held by Applied Arts. My work was chosen as one of the twenty concepts sent to Applied Arts to represent Emily Carr in this contest.

    A redesign of the Air Canada boarding pass. We were asked to approach this assignment from both a typographic standpoint as well as an information design problem. We were tasked with creating both a printed version and a digital one for use in smart phones.

    Created for Complex Typography we were asked to design a cookbook using purely typography. I developed a calm and sophisticated visual flow for the piece with variation throughout the different sections to create interest.

    Words Between Us is a scalable website suited for the iPhone, the iPad, Android devices or a desktop browser. It was created as a fourth year thesis project in order to create dialogue and look critically at the effect that truncated language has on communication.

    Alley Kurgan, Justin Alm and I created this identity for a fourth year exhibition of design work that was held in the Concourse Gallery at Emily Carr University of Art + Design. I was involved in concept development and creating the visual identity.

    A pocket sized book made for a Print Publications course. The book had to fit restrictions to make reproducing it cost effective. The focuse was on typographic detail and legibility. We were asked to choose two articles on a specific topic (mine was the classification of type), and typeset a book using the articles. I built the book around the theme of contrast between new and old classifications of typography.
