    The Myg Bag is a low cost double draw top gym bag. The concept is simple, one compartment offers high concealment, the second offers high breathabililty. Each of these is key to a comfortable and undistracted workout. It also features a no volume pocket accesible from the outside to save time fishing around for change, gym memberships, or other personal items.

    This textile surface clip is a redesign of an existing 'Duraflex' brand clip. Because of the confusing, unnecessarily large size, and utitarian appearcance of both the male and female pieces of the clip I observed that noone of them had been used in our Emily Carr textile shop. This Surface clip branded for MEC is a redesign for it to encourage our designers choose this hardware and utilize it function while still contributing to the overall experience of the bag or other hardgoods.

    Shear lamp is a residential ambient and task light designed to allude to the hand hewn experience of pulling a spoke shave. As the user slides the cuff up changing to the task light position the arch curls outwards much like the shavings from a spoke shave or hand planer. Shear is a converstation piece yet has a very small foot print and volume making it suitable for smaller living spaces such as those found in Yaletown.

    This is one of my earlier pieces from my time at Emily Carr. Because our brain always percieves objects against a background Foucault's pendulum appears to the viewer as a pendumlum moving about the room rather that the earth spinning around the pendulum contradicting our own perception. This peice is designed to return the viewer back to the perspective that the earth is floating and spinning in space, and to deliver it with a persoal and cradled feel for those who may feel small at this...
