    (In Progress)

To tackle the alarming deficiency in current North American young adult literacy, I am proposing to redesign classical literature to be more understandable, engaging, and inspiring using expressive and possibly dynamic expressive typography. I would like to ultimately stimulate a previously lost appreciation of literature and the English language in addition to improving reading comprehension and effectuating more frequent reading.

This was designed for my Print Production class, in which we were
to choose and create a magazine of any subject. Inspiare is a documentary photography magazine, depicting a different featured photographer in each issue and consequently, his/her captures of a culture and country that is unfamiliar to the average person living in Canada. At the same time that it is about the technicalities of photography, it also...

This was created for my typography class. We were to design the cover, layouts, and style of certain sections of this cookbook as we interpreted its personality. After much research, the...

This typography poster was for the portrayal of our chosen song lyrics. I chose the song ‘Hurt’ by Nine Inch Nails, a song that reflected the pain and suffering from the aftereffects of cocaine addiction.

I wanted to compare the effects of cocaine to the aftermath of it, juxtaposing the temporary exitement and energy with the depth of hurt and suffering of reality. The lyrics are broken up into 2 levels, the first and larger level...

During the summer and fall, I worked at an internship with Canucks Sports and Entertainment. They were celebrating the Canucks’ 40th anniversary, so a new and exciting aesthetic was established. I helped with numerous projects, ranging from basic forms to player and team handbooks. As well, I created both newspaper and online posters and advertisements for different events and activities.

    The two pieces shown...

These are three separate business cards that I created for myself during my Print Production class. They are distinctly different from each other by both style as well as approach. One is more elegant and focuses on typography, while the other is much more colorful and playful, with the last card being a transition between the two aforementioned styles.
