Chrystal Sparrow
She's a descendant of the Salish & Cree peoples of Canada and is residing in the Salish territory of Vancouver, BC. In early childhood, her artistic talent was honed from her father Irving Sparrow, Master carver. Her most recent works are installed at the UBC Thunderbird Hockey Arena and the Richmond Oval in conjunction with the 2010 Winter Olympics. Chrystal works with large cedar panels, sculptures, painting, jewellery and new mediums. She says, "Create and Emulate Positive Change for the world".
I really enjoy these First Nations pieces.
I cant get enough of the wings on the larger eagle carving.
I also practice First Nations art, and enjoy seeing people my age do the same.
