The VFX of Godzilla | S3D Centre

The VFX of Godzilla

The S3D Centre at Emily Carr and The Canadian 3D Society invite you to The VFX of Godzilla, presented by Moving Picture Company (MPC) Vancouver.

With Godzilla’s massive 200M+ worldwide box office success, it's clear that people love the new Godzilla reboot. Did you know principal photography took place in BC? And that Vancouver’s own MPC was the lead VFX studio on the film? We are in for a real treat with Sepp Sonntag, Environment Supervisor and Ken Beauchamp, MPC Lead FX Technical Director at MPC for a behind the scenes look at the VFX of Godzilla.

Harry Killas | (Parenthesis) Why We Are / Mutual Muses

Curious about cultural practice, or the future of Emily Carr? We serve up ideas, not drinks!

(Parenthesis) investigates the role Emily Carr plays in community and public life. You are our community, whether you studied here or not, whether you studied academically or not, whatever your age or inclination, and we invite your ideas, input and inquiry.

The idea cafe gives you a chance to crack open some of the big questions facing the Emily Carr community, and to participate in conversations facilitated by a broad range of faculty. Each of four sessions poses questions and introduces ideas facing our university as we approach our relocation in Fall of 2016.

Somewhere along the way the lines have blurred – where once i designed user interfaces for automotive racing games, I began designing user interfaces for real world automotive corporations.
