The Howe Sound region of British Columbia is experiencing a remarkable ecological rebirth.  Marine life is returning after decades of low numbers. This recovery is an incredible and all too rare good news story – not just for the residents of the Sound or the urban and tourist centres around it, but also for marine scientists worldwide who want to know more about the dynamics of marine recovery.

We are happy to celebrate the successful installation of a "Harmonograph Swingset" at this year's TED conference, hosted in Vancouver. A sculpture by Carly Stadelmann and Emily Carr University employee Jeremy Wong literally made waves inviting thousands of global visitors at TED to create interactive art pieces.

HELD OVER – Look for Emily Carr student-designed wrapped cars through May 16!

TED, car2go and Emily Carr University of Art + Design’s Faculty of Culture + Community have partnered together to showcase the next league of rising art and design stars with a collaborative vehicle wrap project.

In late February, the University issued and open call to students, resulting in over 40 outstanding submissions. The jury, comprised of  representatives from car2go, TED and Emily Carr, were then challenged with narrowing down the selection to just seven designs.
